Welcome to the second annual Big Hug Appeal from Cruse Bereavement Care. Thanks to your support, last year's appeal raised valuable funds that helped us to support grieving children throughout England, Wales and Nothern Ireland, but we are once again forced to ask for your help. Our charity needs funding in order to ensure that we can carry on developing our support services and that we can offer care to all grieving children, when and where they need it.
The loss of a loved one can have a devastating effect on a young person and expert support is sometimes needed to mitigate the potentially long term mental and physical consequences. Cruse Bereavement Care provides advice and support to more young people than any other UK bereavement charity, please consider making a donation or taking a Challenge in order that we may continue to do so.
We were very grateful for your support last year. Here are some highlights of Winter 2010-11:
Richmond MP Zac Goldsmith helped us launch the appeal
People found lots of fun ways to raise money at their workplace, school or with their friends.
Events included sponsored swims, bake sales, fancy dress days and fundraising dinners.

..and lots of lovely people gave us a hug!
